Microsoft SharePoint 2010 SP1 has been released. Service pack 1 for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 is now available for download. Number of issues have been fixed in this released.
SP1 contains stability, performance, and security enhancements. There are some essential new functions here
• Support for SQL Server Code Name “Denali”
• Shallow copy functionality
• Site-level recycle bin
• Improvements to storage management (StorMan.aspx)
• Cascading filters for Performance Point services
• Additional browser support (Chrome, Internet Explorer 9)
Support for SQL Server Code Name “Denali”
Microsoft is providing support for SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2005. "Denali" is Name of SharePoint 2010 with SQL Server 2008.
Shallow copy functionality
Shallow copy is new feature in SP1.Shallow copy increased performance and reliability for organization. Shallow copy capability to move site collection between content database without moving structure data (Microsoft Word document and Power point presentation) using PowerShell "Move-SPSite" command
Note: Shallow copy is not supported with the local FILESTREAM provider.
Site-level recycle bin
Site recycle bin is newly added in SharePoint 2010 SP1. Administrators can restore web site or site collections that are deleted by users.
Improvements to storage management (StorMan.aspx)

Cascading filters for Performance Point services
Cascading filters for Performance Point services is available in SharePoint 2010 SP1; you can pass one filter value to another
